What is NYT Wordle Game?

It is a free web based puzzle released on Oct 24, 2022 by NYT Games where players needs to guess hidden five-letter words in six attempts. This game has become a beloved morning ritual for puzzle enthusiasts around the globe. Each guess provides feedback through colored tiles:

The game was created by Welsh software engineer Josh Wardle in October 2021 as a gift for his partner. Then its popularity exploded the internet in early 2022 and was then acquired by The New York Times, where it remains free to play and widely loved.

Difficulty while solving today answer

I’d rate today’s solving a 2/5. The first guess revealed several useful letters, and the remaining steps were mainly about swapping two known letters into place, making the finish straightforward and satisfying.

How to Play Wordle (Quick Guide)

  • Start strong with strategic words: Opening with a word that includes common vowels and consonants gives you a major edge. but you can explore more in our Wordle starting words guide.
  • Make every color count: Pay close attention and avoid reusing greyed-out letters, every guess should move you forward.
  • Isolate the vowels early: If your starting word doesn’t yield much, try testing the remaining vowels (like O and U) in your second or third guess.
  • Don’t shy away from repeated letters as answers can contain duplicate letters. Words like LEVEL, SHEEP, and LLAMA have all been answers in the past, so don’t rule them out just because you’ve used the letter once already.
  • Use WordleBot for a learning edge as it is a fun and helpful tool that analyzes your guesses and shows what you could have done differently. It’s like having a coach who helps you fine-tune your approach
