The Times of India also highlighted that this is one of the biggest figures ever paid to an actor for a streaming project. With this deal, Shahid now joins the league likes of Manoj Bajpayee (The Family Man) and Varun Dhawan (Citadel: Honey Bunny) as one of OTT’s most bankable names.

Filming for Farzi Season 2 is expected to begin towards the end of 2025, once creators Raj & DK wrap up their other commitments. Post-production will be extensive, with Amazon preparing a multi-language release, meaning the new season is likely to arrive in 2026.
Shahid’s Upcoming Project
Before Farzi 2, Shahid Kapoor will appear in Vishal Bhardwaj’s upcoming film Arjun Ustara, which is set to release on December 5, 2025. This film has already generated strong anticipation for its intense storyline but also because of Kapoor’s reunion with Bhardwaj after several years.
