T-Series recently launched the trailer of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, that premiered on October 9, 2024 in iconic Raj Mandir Cinema in Jaipur. This horror-comedy is directed by Anees Bazmee, this horror-comedy film and will be released in theaters on November 1, 2024 during the Diwali festivities.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 simply follows the legacy established by Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 in terms of plot and themes. In second installment, Kartik Aaryan played the role of Rooh Baba that was introduced as a unique character who makes fun of mystical beings with a mixture of comedy and his bravery.
Similarly Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 brought the legacy of much-loved Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise in which Akshay Kumar coupled it with a fresh twist of the new characters and settings, while not drifting away from the horror-comedy aspect.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 plot starts from where Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 ends and Kartik Aaryan a.k.a Rooh Baba once again takes on the role of a ghostbuster with a twist. This time, he has to meet greater obstacles than ever by facing two Manjulika’s — the most iconic and the most terrifying one, once again played by Vidya Balan as well as Madhuri Dixit who is also casted in the villain’s role. In Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Tabassum Hashmi (Tabu) played the Manjulika.
Again people will see Triptii Dimri, who is starred in many super-hit movies of 2024 is also play an important role alongside the star-studded cast. The haunting atmospheres and jump scares from the previous films are back, but the focus remains on balancing humor between horror and a signature comedy of Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise.

Anees Bazmee Shares the Exciting Journey
Anees recalled the moment when they approached Vidya with the script. “We approached Vidya ji, and fortunately, she loved the script. She said, ‘Among all the stories I’ve heard, this is the one that I really like.’ During the narration, I gave her a 10-minute overview, eager to know her thoughts. When I finished, she was very excited and said, “This is going to be a lot of fun!”
A few weeks after the initial meeting, a more detailed narration was held. Anees recalled, “About 10 to 15 days later, we had another meeting where we gave a full narration. But within those first 10 minutes, I felt that she had already made up her mind and wanted to do the film. After finishing the narration, she officially joined the project.”
Anees concluded by expressing his delight over Vidya’s return to the franchise. “What could be better than having her return to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 after 17 years? She has done a beautiful job in the film.”
Reactions of Fans and Final Thoughts
In first two days, trailer got 50 Million views on youtube and counting which has done its job by leaving fans excited and now the spotlight is on whether the movie will live up to the legacy of the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise or not. However there has been some criticism, with a few fans finding the trailer “bland” or overly reliant on familiar tropes from the previous films.
Chemistry between Madhuri Dixit and Vidya Balan, both portraying different versions of Manjulika has fascinated fans, making them eager for the film’s release on 1st November. Everyone is waiting to see what fresh elements this installment will bring to the franchise.
